2017 Worlds Men's SP

probably Jason Brown...

Hmmm, I checked ISU and Jason's PB is 86.48. There's Jeremy Abbot with a PB of 86.98 but that was from WTT. Are these the highest? I don't know other skaters whose scores I could check. Edit: I don't even know if Jeremy's score was with a quad or not, so nevermind.

I am really enjoying a lot of the men's music today. Much more than most of the ladies'. Why is there such a discrepancy? Although I admit this is very personal taste

I think more of the guys take risks with their musical choices, so we end up with a wide range of styles.

From Satin's last post I see that Moris has qualified! Sweeet!

And now the guy from Armenia is up, yay for the smaller countries! I haven't actually seen an Armenian skater before - at least not a male one.

Slavik's program went fantastically well together with music, great interpretation. Such a pity about the fall.

What a magnificent 3A to start!

Are the Armenian guy's blades black? If so, my inner goth very much approves.

Also, HI Alexei Urmanov!

Slavik Hayrapetyan has lofty, impressive 3A I must say. His coach Alexei Urmanov also ;-) Rather not coincidence.
