My stream got choppy, so didn't see the final three teams' performance in full, but I could sense the final result is what I wanted.

I was so touched by after they finished their last movements. Cong's facial expression said everything.

So happy for them. What a hard season physically and mentally. Their english was cute too. I am happy with the results all around even if some scoring was iffy... but that is normal, I guess.

Congrats to Sui & Han, at long last finally World Champs! Savchenko & Massot gave them a real battle here, and I predict it will be a real battle between the 2 teams at the Games next year for the gold too, with the others mostly just vying for bronze behind them.

They are very grateful to everyone. She mentioned it is particularly special because their coach Hongbo and Shen won a medal at the WC in Helsinki years ago, too. Cong is grateful towards Wenjing.

It is funny, everyone thought when they paired up everyone thought Bruno would be the weak link in the pair yet it has become Aljiona. She needs to fix her technical problems, especcialy her throws fast. She almost never lands any throw cleanly anymore, other than a throw 2axel.

I"m sure Aljiona is disappointed, but I hope this fuels them to be even better for the Olympic season. We know that she wants that OGM, so perhaps it's good that she doesn't peak just yet.

Nice program for S/M, more convincing for me than their S/P however, I don't understand why they don't get hammered as much as the other teams for bad landings... I don't seeing Aliona landing a single throw on one foot the entire year... with such mistakes (+SBS) 150 is a bit much... and of course, Bruno, granted that he is improving, is not there yet.

Congrats to T/M : get better programs next year.

Relieved that the Canadians did relatively well with one team recently injured and the other one just recently coming back from injury (skipped Nationals and 4CC). We have strong teams in Canada and it's great that 3 of them will go to the Olympics.

Very nice skate by Y/Z : may they improve their SBS/ BV and they could be really dangerous.

And finally, it was great that there were many more teams than usually in this event (from the SP) and it's promising for the future... To those thinking pairs was dead... it's not

They were 10th.

THey technically earned 2 spots, but because there are only 16 spots distributed at Worlds (the rest will be a Nebelhorn) they will only get one.

It's totally a stupid rule, but since it's a rule, it stands at least for now.

It's dumb like gymnastics guaranteeing event medalists at Worlds a spot at the Olympics, but not AA medalists which ended up with the reigning World bronze medalist not competing in Rio.

I'm buying everything Aliona is selling! That was an actual program where the elements blended, the movements were beautiful, etc. Different league from what preceded it.

Great job from Aliona & Bruno, their coaches and their choreographers who are non other than ... Silvia Fontana & John Kerr. Aliona is an evenement in sport ... always brings some medal home.
