2017 Worlds Pairs SP

Really nice skate :)

And I was just wondering if there is any chance for him to get the Japanese citizenship? Because IIRC that is very difficult...

I would say 0 chance, since they don't train in Japan. Same thing with Mervin, and he was a World bronze medalist.

I was confident the Aussies and Czechs would make the cut... But now I se we're just in Group 4 and the majority of pairs are expected to make the cut... I'm afraid pairs with a really good skate might not make it. :( :slink:

Oh man, they need to extend it to 20 instead of 16 in the future. Some really decent teams are going to be cut.

Can only have 4 teams per warm up group. And only 4 groups qualify so they only have to do one ice resurfacing in the free.

Sherlock Holnes and Irene Adler, what a great idea for a program! I liked to music mix too, the voiceover wasn't too bad!

Yes I just had the same realization. These pairs in first three groups are all at do or die moment.

Why only first 16 pairs qualify for FS and not 20 like in ice dance?

In prior years there were far fewer entries in paris than dance; the level honestly was also lower. Both things are changing though, and I think it has to be reevaluated.

I am not used to hearing this theme during figure skating slow motion :D So confusing!

Was it just me or was someone yelling "hup!" into the camera during the SBS at the end??

Him to call the moment when they switch the position. Paris are doing it to stay in sync. Listen closely later on cause for example in Marchei/Hotarek she calls the position switch. She will be yelling - via or vai if I remember corretly

I cheer for Y/Z solely because of her, my respect for Zhang and whole Chi fed went down after this affair. :dev2: :slink:
