2018 Olympic Figure Skating Mens SP

The axel!! :yahoo: I guess I was being greedy by expecting the quad toe. Then the combo--why?? :rolleye: I still think the program fits him beautifully

Han almost got Patrick Chan-level of skating skills. So lovely to watch.

I love Han Yan, I love this song, but oh no...
I hope Matteo goes in front of this. I want both of them to qualify.

I'm mesmerized by Han's edges. That footwork sequence was pure satisfaction to my soul. :drama:

YES, they wanted skating in their prime prime, so iy means vert early houres for skaters and fans

But it wasn’t prime time in the US. I was watching, it was 12 noon here:biggrin:

NBC had Jackson B Squat to do with Sochi times, and they * still * had a half empty arena.

Oohhhh Han. There's that stunner of a 3A, at least. He ought to move on at least, but I just keep hoping for him to get it back together.

Wow, will be close, but I think will go ahead of Rizzo if TES doesn't drop too much. What a disappointment. Looks like the quad was rotated.

Han Yan

Cracking 3A (+3!). Shame on the fall on the 4T, but looks fully rotated. Good center on the first spin. Good speed going into the 3Lz+2T, but a step-out on the 2T and a struggle throughout. Great position and speed through the sit spin. Good power and edgework through the step sequence and a competent combo spin to finish.

Great knee bend and speed across the ice. Lost quite a bit of points on the fall on the 4T and the 3Lz combo with just a 2T. This music does bring out the quality of his edges and his sensitivity. This style actually does suit him, though he could have more facial expression.
