Ok, so in the final analysis Nathan and Mikhail have been the most inconsistent of the top 6 this season so it''s not too surprising that they were below par.

Having said that:

1) Patrick is in the final group for the free!!

2) Dmitri is in 5th!!!,

3) The top 3 were on another level!! So well-rounded!


4) And then Hanyu found a 1/2 level higher than the top level and murdered this part of the competition :hap57::hap93:

It's the most technically difficult, by far.

There are LOT of scores between 80 and 90. The FS is going to be very interesting! I am anticipating a lot of movement.

Similar situation to Evan in Torino- i don't recall how far back Evan was after short but he rebounded to an excellent free program and then 4 years later the gold. I hope nathan has his evan moment though I don't know if it's in his personality to just skate free with no inhibitions the way Adam is skating.

Basically 4 men going for the podium at this point- with an outside chance for the Russian.

Agree, should not be a point lower than Yuzuru. Both were equally magnificent.

Boyand is unlikely to snatch the gold this year, but by 2022??? Ahahaha, what am I saying, it's completely impossible to predict anything in Men's Figure Skating.

This is exactly how I feel. SO many to root for in mens though. I want all top 5 and Nathan to have their Olympic moment

Boyang may be in 4th but there is a small PCS gap, He got components all in 8's, while the top 3 all received nothing but 9's. 9.86 looks like the highest mark given, which was for Yuzuru in Performance.
