2018 Olympic Figure Skating Pairs SP

The German commentator says that there is too much Seguin in this pair.

Honestly. I agree.

Julianne is not in her skating shape as she has not been able to train fully because of her concussion. ETA : I think she started full time in January. She sure has more curves naturally than some ohter women, but she is slimmer when she can teain at her 100%. That is said, she sure can land her jumps and do the stuff that some skinny pair skaters don’t.

It's ice resurfacing time though.

But I'm saying it's true for all disciplines. Pairs just has the smallest practice groups for safety reasons.

I mean, we did have Baldwin's proposal to Inoue in 2008.

Ok, why you keep trying to make sense when people are just trying to complain. Stop interrupting with all of this logic!

Sad for Alexandrovskaya and Windsor, but hope they can work on their PCS. All four teams in the last qualifying group had 34 and change TES, same as A/W. It was the PCS that did it.

Yu/Zhang are my refrigerator break: tricks but no chemistry or connection. Hate the Tt&J commentary for the most part especially for Y/Z. :frown:

I'm questioning some of those PCS scores, unsurprisingly. Good for M-T/M making it, as well as Scimeca/Knierim with their small mistakes. And now Y/Z are way overscored, maybe to compensate for the low score given to teammates P/J. I'm not sure that was exactly fair for P/J, but I guess they had no margin for error. I still think P/J are an overall better team than Hocke/Blommaert.

Imao why would the judges compensate the low score given to their teammates. Out of kindness?:rofl:And pcs isnt just about chemistry otherwise Duhamel/ Radford would have none. Yu/ Zhang had grace and elegance and they interpreted this program well.

4.20am

Awake for 2hrs already, but pairs are bringing it so far!! :cheer:

North Koreans were absolutely sensational, they truly seemed to have a Ball out there, their enthusiasm is So infectious, more of happy pairs like this, please!

Also, loved Julianne and Charlie with this edgy program and her fierce attitude, so glad they kind of bounced back from last troubled season.

Knierims looked a tad tired maybe, element were not as good as at TE, but they really have that love and affection thing radiating from every move, gesture while performing... The way Chris is looking at Alexa is simple goals, especially at Valentine's Day:luv17:

I am sooo proud of Kristina and Alexei!!! They may be not the most expressive pair out there, but their execution and flow today were on point. Cannot wait for La La Land FS and yellow dress!!!

And the prettiest Swan of them all with her prince:love: - the level of intricacy, detal, finish and quality in Yu's movement leaves me breathless, one of the most graceful and attractive landings, dismounts in the entire field, arms and neck of true ballerina, with that princess feline, exotic face, and that ending extension - goddess!!!

What's the point of being Canadian and paying taxes if I can't even watch figure skating on CBC properly ? :drama:

I think this scoring panel is just being extremely generous. I mean I love this team. ( especially Yu) but they aren't necessarily the best of performers despite her beautiful positions. But, as long as the judging panel is consistent. I am okay with it (I guess)

I know it's the middle of winter, but with all the hotties in this group, I have my fan at the ready.

It's good to be prepared.

:hap57:

It's a little embarrassing how much I'm looking forward to seeing Vanessa and Morgan's short coming up!!! :luv17:
