Lauriault / Le Gac (FRA)

Love the body movement and level changes. A bit out of sync in the first set of twizzles but nice ice coverage. I actually like the rhumba sections, really showed their change of pace and flow with the rhythm change. Got three key points it looks like in the rhumba step. Wonderful cartwheeling entry into the rotational lift. They could just use a bit more pizzazz and more speed, but they've got fairly interesting transitions in the first half.

The in-arena one? If so, that's PJ Kwong. She did it in Vancouver too, and at 4CC last year. She's normally very good.

Why do so many costumes match the arena? Are they hoping to blend into the background so the judges don't notice errors?

Maybe it has to do with this year's colour being purple?
