Virtue and Moirs SP music should not qualify as a Latin origin. Just because it is modified to have the beats to Rhumba, it shouldnt be considered as Latin American Rhythms.

Hmm... well considering there are A LOT of skaters this year skating to remixed pop songs... I don't really think the "this isn't latin" argument can really apply anymore.

You do get that unlike several other teams, they didn't modify their music? They used the normal version of Sympathy for the Devil, which is considered samba rock, Santana is a latin rock band, and Hotel California have a rhumba rhythm, they just used an acoustic version.

Some of the comments here tonight have me worried about the rest of the competition. Can't we all just be nice?

If people don't love V/M, can we not jump down their throats? That also goes for every skater in the competition. Everyone is entitled to have and express their own opinion as long as they aren't being mean.

I think in GPF and Nationals Chock and Bates had the highest FD scores, No?

It would be really sweet if the Shibs and Chock/Bates won medals from the team event and then Hubbell/Donohue took the individual Bronze.

Well ... it is inevitable that people are going to have differing perceptions as to what is "mean" or not "mean."

But within reason, I agree that people are entitled to have opinions, and others are entitled to respond with other opinions.

H/D have been on the rise for a while, but remember that they have also choked. I'm rooting for all US ice dancers.
