Yeah, and Bradie was just on the bad end of a coin toss. It was only .01. You rarely see a difference that small in figure skating.

Satoko got one -3 for her loop
I find it shocking that judges at this level still get those kind of slip ups
Stolbova and Klimov have been inconsistent this season. Withi this lineup Russia isn't really trying to get the gold. I wonder if that was the strategy all along or they changed it after men's.

Yes, I love her too. In fairness though I have heard from friends that seeing her in person is not nearly as amazing as watching her on TV. She just doesn't have the power that Carolina Kostner/ Katelyn Osmond do and that can have a much larger impact in person,
However, I think her interpretation of music mark should always get 10's. She and Carolina are on another level in this regard compared to the other skaters.

I'll know after pairs, but Italy has a slight chance at bronze due to her slightly over performing in the short. But it requires the USA dance team to behind both the Russians and Italians and Carolina doing their FS and beating everyone but Alina. Carolina's SP has been pretty inconsistent and Kaori is a beast right now. Right now Kaori has a PB of 142 and Carolina has been close to that but also under that as well.
As for the Canadians, they are looking good for gold. They can afford to be lowly placed in men's so long as Gabby delivers in the FS. However there is a chance for OAR to make up the points if Mikhail wins the men's event and Gabby is in 3rd place. It will all come down to the men.

Because Bobrova's ban was algo bogus, simply as that.
Mirai's scoring potential is in her TES, not her PCS. And I'm sure she could have gotten at least a 30 for her short program--the same as Bradie.

Yep. Both times they were all head to head they had the lowest full dance score. Sentiment is not a factor, results are.
