TAT said that they want her back, that they'll respect her decision, of she wants to skate in shows then let it be, but if she decides to come back, she will be welcome and they'll help her. And generally that's she's great.

They really should send her to Plushy. Without her pop Sima would have made 200 today. Who would have thought it from the girl written off two years ago?

Why is Dasha's PCS so low? Don't get it.

Because her skating is bland and somewhat wobbly in in-betweens. I liked her LP more than SP, she was more connected to music.

Alina deserved to win, except for that mistake yesterday she was excellent. Her LP is better every single time performance-wise.
Sotskova deserves her spot at Euros and Olympics, no question. She has been very good all season, an average FS at one comp won't hurt her.

That being said...
I'd have either Sotskova or Kostornaia winning the SP.
Zagitova is 1st, at the right place at the end because it was a very good LP, but I would have Kostornaia 2nd, no question. And if I were Zagitova, I'd ask Kostornaia how to make my backloaded LP so amazing to watch.

I hope Russian fed would start promoting Alena more, never saw such a hypnotic junior lady since Mao and Yuna. Her presentation and dance skills are wonderful (especially for a junior) and superior to everyone else in the field. PCS too low compared too others.

Russian judges tend to prefer a certain type of skating style, so I would say that Gubanova's style is not quite in that particular style (such as Konstantinova, for example.)

Contrast between Kostornaya and Konstantinova is quite startling. Clear musical connection without doing much vs doing tons and tons to try and interpret yet no connection.

No competition? Come on, what's the rest of the Russian field doing? Walleys?

I'm not saying she did not *actually* have competition, but that she knew that she has the highest base score and would also receive the highest PCS. You can't compare Zagitova to, say, Kostornaia. Her only domestic competition is Medvedeva and that's a fact.

Kostornaia and Gubanova are artistically the class of the field. Watching them back to back was absolutely BREATHTAKING!!! They are revelations, both of them!!! :luv17:

I don't think so. It's more like they are holding down all the other juniors today so that Konstantinova could be at the lead. Stasya is, after all, eligible for Olympics, and is the only lady from St Petersburg that has a shoot for the Euros/Olys spot. Until Kostornaia who had a great lead in SP that no judging can keep her behind Staya.

If Masha had an even worse skate, Stasya might had a chance to Oly given her stance in the Nats.

Has Alena ever hit a level 4 step sequence in the FS yet? I'm starting to think it's purposefully choreographed as level 3 or something is wrong there.
