Where did Gubanova finish overall?
I am so confused with Russian diminutives, Masha, Dasha, Pasha, Zhenia...Anyway, Alina's Don Quixote is mesmerizing. I don't like backloaded programs, but her jumps on music in the last part are so entertaining. She needs to change something in that SP. She won't be able to beat top skaters with mistakes in the SP. I love Maria, and I don't find her boring. Her dress is so nice. She was a bit nervous today, but who would not be...
time to sum it up
The discovery: Anna Tarusina
The dissappointment: Elena Radionova
The breakthrough: Alena Kostornaia
The slayer: Alina Zagitova
The best CSKA bonus: Maria Sotskova
The best non-CSKA bonus: Stanislava Konstantinova
The underscored one: Anastasia Gubanova
The unlucky one: Polina Tsurskaya
That is odd. A 9.5 skating skill skater cannot perform a required step or turn? I wonder if it actually is choreod now or if she just cheats on something every time.
Difference between time to time and never, right? If she sometimes hit lvl 4 I of course wouldnt think it could intentionally be lvl 3Even Patrick Chan has had plenty of level 3 step sequences. It happens. Sometimes you have an unclear turn, sometimes you take your blade off the ice on a required loop a bit too much... Just seems weird in Alena's case because she doesn't get level 4 very often in SP AND FS.

Ugh, she should be ahead of Stasya!![]()
And polina. Got robbed unfortunately.Ugh, she should be ahead of Stasya!![]()
Would be a shame. Her pcs categories are miles ahead of zagitova and the gap should be well into the double digits. But for one reason or another pcs inflation dilutes the gap massively. So not a Med fan but I'm worried for her. To me she doesn't deserve based on skills to be bypassed. Crap like this always happens at the Olympics.
Not a Olympics fan....
Konstantinova? Yes she sure is skilled at getting overscored by 15 points domestically. Wish others were as skilled.Well done to all, particularly to Alina and Alena, and also a special mention to Stasya who can obviously rise above all the vitriol and ridiculously nasty negativity thrown her way!! Have said nothing this time, but come on, guys!!

Is Polina injured again or something? She looked sluggish to me and never really accelerated into her elements. Pretty disappointing performance actually and I’m not talking just the mistakes.
Do you not look back at your constructive criticism of Stasya and regret it a bit? Babes, try and be kind; she's a teenager who likes to skate!Would be a shame. She lost to massively boosted zagitova by 10p despite not being good enough to participate in gp. You dont think she was overscored?Do you not look back at your constructive criticism of Stasya and regret it a bit? Babes, try and be kind; she's a teenager who likes to skate!
