Samarin is Coming For the Judges. I liked that a lot. 4Lz not clean but jumped right into the rafters. Very interesting program, and well performed. Interested in Samarin for the first time ever.

I know Cha is a new(ish) senior, and I'm not pretending he's perfect, but that pcs gap between him and the top 2 is low-key ridiculous.

The fall wasn’t the only mistake. Overscored, but not as much as we’re used to due to PCS being capped much harder when a programme has a fall or “serious error.” Should have been behind Junhwan Cha by a point or two, but Cha skated early, so his components weren’t anything special.

tl;dr it’s closer to correct than the placement order would lead you to believe and not nearly as bad as prior “who cares if you’re clean, have all the PCS” moments we’ve seen, but it’s also going to be DRAMA

Wow, Alexander Samarin reminds me of Jeremy Abbot. Kinda cool. Skates up to his music, form, style, costume.

Very brave for Samarin to go for the 4Lz at the start, just a turn-out. But strong 3A from a counter and a secure 3Lz+3T as well. I like how he usually incorporates one original position in each spin. I think he can work on moving more with his core and his steps could be done more on edges, but overall a good performance that should land him in the 80s as well.
