2018 Worlds Mens Free Skate

Thank you Nathan for saving us, saving this compeition:bow:

Edit; I just reaized Shoma's got another silver:eeking:

Nathan!! 126 tech score omg. I'm thinking that saves our 3 spots.

I have to say the ice isn't the best though.

Israel made the top 4!! does that give them 3 spots?

Good on Nathan! Not a fan of his skating but he has made the ticket price somewhat worth it for the crowd. :agree: Congrats!

Redemption for Nathan! Well done on his first world championship! Now to work on his showmanship to make him more engaging to watch :)

The program is non-existent, but at least one man actually earned his medal. Good job Nathan! I still think Dima + the whole second group deserved better but this is how the sport rolls, alas...

OMG, Nathan's TES is almost as high as Boyang's total score for the FS

That was a performance worthy of a champion!!! :hap10:

what a redempsh for him, after this splatfest, he did bring it 100% even though he only needed to bring it like 70%

Nathan Chen SAVED this men's free skate! I'm just glad I can watch a skate in the last group that's without a fall.

Great opening 4Lz! Good 4F+2T, nice second 4F, and a good 4T. A bit wobbly on the second 4T+2T, plus a step-out on the 4S. But a fantastic 3A for him, and 3F+1Lo+3S just for good measure. He wasn't as energetic with the spins and footwork just to save his energy for the six quad attempts, but whatever it takes.

It was cautious, it had its shares of glitches, except for the step sequence choreographically empty, but it was also gutsy and a smart performance.

Nice work Mr Nathan. Enjoy that gold medal!

:)
