2018 Worlds Mens Free Skate

So Russia, US AND Japan get 3 spots. That's fun! Czech Republic, Canada Israel, Uzbekistan and Latvia get 2 spots!

Kinda cool actually.

It mirrors Mao in 2014 perfectly. Bad short at the Olympics. Awesome comeback in the free. Then wins Worlds a month later.

Wow Italian sounds a lot like Spanish, I almost understand it.

What a great privilege to have your name in the same sentence with Mao. Go Nathan! :hap10:

Oi Italian interviewing man don't ask that! That's not very nice. (About the Short program at the Olympics...)

I still wonder...should Shoma be so high? I mean he did well at the end, but he had all those falls? I think Bychenko should have got a medal.

I really want to see the look on Max's face when they told him the US kept three spots...because of Nathan and him.

But, being who he is, I bet he's backstage giving Vincent a big hug.
I was really sad to read that he felt like he was here in just a support role and to hang around with the young guys. Hopefully now he'll realize that he actually had an important and central role here.

Whew! Someone must have told him about the ice being wrong, so he adjusted. (I'm making this up, mind you, but it's possible) And congratulations to Max Aaron. I missed him this morning, but I always loved him. He saved the day

Max Aaron, the backup of the backup of the backup of the backup securing the third spot! :yahoo:

We did get three? I miscounted that.

Well Mr Aaron, I send you a big bouquet of thank yous.

Keep working Vincent. It was ONE bad juju performance. You have tremendous potential.

What did I just watch.....

Congratulations Nathan Chen. Well deserved, fantastic redemption. Amazing.

And Shoma is a fighter. Say what you will about him, he is a true fighter and never backs down and never gives up. I'm proud to be a fan of you, Shoma Uno and I will defend you forever! And congrats to Mikhail. Uh, look it's the GPF podium! Japan keeps the third spot.

Heartbroken for Boyang and Vincent though. That was tough to watch. But they are young and will come back from this, I'm sure.

As much as I'm little sad Shoma has another Silver (he's probably tired of them as well), I'm so happy he survived his free, saved three spots for Japan and still won a medal. He might have a bad technique on jumps and too high PCS but I can't help but cheer for him.

Come on Deniss and Dima, next season you need to start getting some of that sweet inflated PCS! 6th and 7th place is fantastic though!

And Shoma gets silver. That's hilarious.

Although I'm not sure he should, considering he was very very generously scored.

Well his competitors all fell off like flies. He can't help it.
