“It would be better if I hadn’t.” Sakhanovich about her victory at the Denis Ten Memorial in Almaty
Yegor Ilyin The winner of the Denis Ten Memorial in Almaty, Serafima Sakhanovich, in an interview with Prosports.kz correspondent, summed up the results of her performance at the tournament and shared her plans for the future.
- I’m not happy with the performance. Already at the warm-up, my mood wasn't the same. I generally go to bed very early. This is not an excuse, but it was hard for me to skate.
Q: In general, how can you evaluate your performance at the Memorial?
A: Generally unhappy. There are so many errors in my free program that I don’t want to talk about this skating run. I liked the tournament itself: organization, buses, training, the ice rink, the hotel, there was always something to drink in the locker rooms - everything’s super. There was also a very warm welcome. Clapping, cheering for me, the impressions are very good. It would be even better if I didn’t fix it in my free program (laughs).
Q: Soon one of the main tournaments of the season will come - the Championship of Russia, how do you tune in to it?
A: What is the main one? I still won’t get into the top three, what's the difference of being tenth or fifteenth (laughs). For Alina Zagitova, Sasha Trusova, Alyona Kostornaya, Anya Shcherbakova - yes, it is important, for all the others - no.
Recall that according to the results of the short program Serafina also took first place.
