I love her jumps (give her all the GOE when they're clean, frankly) and I adore this program.

Why couldn't Kaori go clean? That program is brilliant for her! Benoit did an excellent job. Her skating is a dream--buttery smooth!

Kaori Sakamoto (JPN)

Tech:

- Strong 3F+3T, very close to boards but well-done
- Nice entry into a solid 2A
- Good curve coming out of 3Lz, almost seemed off
- Nice flying part in the sit spin (Lvl 4)
- Wonderful timing and movement through the step sequence, peacful and strong (Lvl 4)
- Slightly tilted on 3S, but still landed alright
- Very solid 2A+3T+2T
- Ouch, a pop on the 1F, just slipped off that toe
- Good I-spin in the combo (Lvl 4)
- Nice speed through the choreo sequence, a decent sequence of spirals
- Good height in the 3Lo+2T
- Nice speed through the combo spin, wonderful layback positions (Lvl 4)

Pres:

- Ooo, very tight. That hiccup on the 3F will be costly, but the rest of the program was solid and there doesn't seem to be any problems with under-rotations. Just that one rushed snafu in an otherwise brilliant program. She really took the time to express the step sequence and accent every note in it. Some of the landings were a bit tilted, but she was able to get around it like a cat. Still a superb performance, maybe on the podium, we'll have to see.
