Deniss Vasiljevs (LAT)

Tech: Solid 3F to start, slanted in the air on 3A and unfortunate fall, great position on sit spin but a bit of a travel, nice casual finishing on each step in the sequence, only a 2Lz+3T combo (done well for what it is), good centering on change camel spin, great positions and speed in the last combo spin

Pres: Sets the mood immediately, very comfortable expressing funk, not a lot of speed but very good edgework and interpretative skill, eeking out many of the nuances of the music effortlessly

Score: 74.74, TES 36.12, PCS 39.62, -1 Deduction (currently 13th)

I must say, I'm impressed by the level the skaters perform. The lowest qualifying score is over 70! That's so good!
