Decent skate by Bychenko, but I find him rather unpolished. I still really like this piece of music, despite its being overplayed, but I thought that the choreography (and his connection to the music) was quite poorly done. He seemed very erratic and disconnected, particularly at the start of the program.

Tech: Hand-down on opening 4T, strong 3A with good landing, a bit weak on the change in the combo spin but safely through, somehow got the 3Lz+2T despite being wild in the air, okay flying camel spin (not the best position), good energy through the footwork though the edges are a bit short (Level 3), illusion entry into final spin (loss of speed)

Pres: Still don't care much for this program. Apart from the footwork, there's just not much personality or energy given the very dramatic music. Not a bad performance, but still lacks finesse compared to Rizzo's program just before.

Score: 77.67, TES 40.32, PCS 37.35 (currently 14th)

Alexei!! That has to have been the prettiest hand-down in the history of negative GOEs. It looked like part of the choreography.

And I can't believe that step sequence was only a level 3. I thought for sure it would be a 4.
