2019 World Championships Mens Short Program

Samarin is a sluggish and gawky skater. And what's with the hands? Oh and though I am happy for Vincent he is no Kevin Aymoz in the PCS dept!!! Those PCS in general are just weird.

1. Vincent beating Matteo in PCS is preposterous.

2. Well, the fate of the Russian men is all in Kolyada’s hands now...

Other than the spins, which were somewhat interesting, that was incredibly dull, jump problems aside. He has basically zero performance quality, and I find his jump quality odd. :(

Yes, that last spin position was very sculptural. Credit where credit is due.

Now please give me back the rings Mr S. Thank you.

Yuzu and Shoma back to back?!

The crowd is going to lose their minds!!

Any prediction on the size of the Poohvalanche?

I was called by a friend to help her with translations, didn't see much of Vincent Zhou. How much did he UR?

Definitely the 4S but the 4Lz+3T was definitely clean. 3A I thought was clean but not definitely so.

I'm not prepared for the final group :scard7:

Samarin's PCS was pretty generous

Poohvalanche shouldn't be that huge considering not many people can throw things. Unless everyone brought multiple Poohs.

While I can see him pushing his tech up, upping BV, I simply cannot see his SS, CO and IN of this SP as superior to Matteo or even Kevin. He forces movement in-between jumps and spins a lot, there's a very little flow for me, the performance is not that coherent to look at, my eyes just kept wandering while I focused on how Deniss, Matteo or Kevin performed heck out of their programs, clean or not.

Exactly! I cannot accept the fact that they gave him and Matteo the same PCS mark on SS, it makes me wanna throw glassess at my iPad :/ Kevin was outright robbed.

Jason, represent for the no quad men!! Matteo got fancy and decided to leave the group

To me it all looked UR in real time tbh...

Disagree. In real time only the 4S looked UR to me. And the slo-mo showed that to be the case.

When it comes to Vincent too many people are now seeing things that aren't there, likely because that's what you want to see. Just. Stop. This. His PCS scores are of course more debateable but not that far out of line compared to some of the other men. I agree that PCS should have been below Matteo.
