2019 World Championships Pairs Short Program

It's a bit different than that. Not sure what the "rules" are for linking out from here. It's on the NBC Sports Live FAQ - blocking 3rd party cookies. You have to de-tick it as a general thing, and then force reload etc etc etc. I'm a car "fan" and they have just started a Gold Pass for IndyCar - and there was banter about issues and saw this one as a solution.

I'll try that next warm up break

Edit: nevermind, I'm not blocking any 3rd party cookies :scowl:

Um ... wow! Anyone else feel like reassessing our narrow minded assumptions about the career lifespan of figure skaters? Well done from Jones/Boyadji!

Dear Lord, thank you for turning one of the most poignant and heartfelt songs in the history of Western music into an overproduced bombastic mess. I was throwing popcorn at my monitor. MAKE IT STOP! MAKE IT STOP!

The Brits however did a nice job. First positive level on a death spiral. Shame about the twist.

That was really nice from Jones/Boyadji - some low levels, but they really built the performance beautifully in sync with the music, and they had beautiful lines.

That's probably the best I have seen them skate all year. Good for them! I actually don't mind the cover. It's dark, but that keeps it interesting.

Whoo go GB! Not too bad at all ;) just the one -GOE for the twist? And not a level B spiral!

Death Spiral Level 1 finally :agree: Not a good twist lift but everything else was fine. Zoe is a role model for sure

Jones/Boyadji (GBR)

Tech: Calm entry into the death spiral with good speed (Level 1), a bit of a crash in the 3Twist (Basic), good flow out of the sbs 3Ts, spread eagle entry into the lift (fairly good ice coverage), nice choreographic move into clean throw 3F, good sync through the spins but a bit out of sync on the entries, good coverage on the footwork though a bit simple in steps (Level 2)

Pres: Some nice, well-framed movements here and there, fair speed throughout, some nice choreography to match the tone of the music but could use more emphasis and phrasing throughout

Score: TES 27.80, PCS 24.65, Total 52.45
