2019 World Championships Pairs Short Program

~say something I'm giving up on you~ FALL

But these two do make a pretty picture. Love the soft teal. Confused by his jacket... shades of Miami Vice coming through

Great skate from Evelyn and Trennt!

I haven't noticed anyone complaining about only a few inches' difference in their heights (unlike about Ashley and Tim). Maybe it's just because Canadians are nicer?

There's a lot of commentary on that ... Trennt is quite small for pairs, and Evelyn is likely not done growing yet, so, yeah, could be a problem.

Hase/Seegert have been my most pleasant surprise of the season. Not my most consistent surprise, but a nice one nonetheless.

I like Hase/Seegert and this is a lovely program, shame about the SBS jumps

Nice work from H/S, shame about the toeloop! But they couldn't quite build their performance along with the music in the second half of the program. I guess it just goes to show how difficult what Vanessa and Morgan do really is...

H/S are enjoyable to watch but man that program is a snoozefest.

Seafoam green and dark grey are a lovely combo though.

I've loved this program all season. This softer style really suits them. I am interested to see what they do next season.

Lovelies! I had a serious brain fart and thought this started tomorrow night! OY VEY

Enjoyed that skate. Smooth and elegant, and you can see where they are improving. Small petty point - I wish she would tie back her hair - the flipping about of it detracts from the overall elegance of the presentation.

I’m just living vicariously through everyone’s posts, I’m now thinking it’s my wifi and not the stream that sucks. I’ve tried several. Bah.

Hase/Seegert (GER)

Tech: Fine 3Twist (not much of a catch), heavy step-out from Hase on sbs 3Ts, nice flow-out and very strong landing on throw 3S with open arms, a little labored on chance of position in lift but nice cartwheel exit, good rotation on the death spiral (Level 3), fairly good edgework and feel in the step sequence (Level 4), good sync through the spins

Pres: Good feel for the musical tone but not much done to the beat of the music, choreography isn't memorable but pleasant enough, good speed throughout and a sense of effortlessness to the movement

Score: TES 34.77, PCS 29.51, Total 64.28

Too bad about the mistake from Hase & Seegert, but the program is lovely and they had good quality on their throw salchow.
