In b4 the naysayers: I Love Zabiiako/Enbert's costumes and goth drama cheese fest program. I love it so much.

Yeah, I like it to. It's distinctive.

Plus, I saw the movie earlier this year, so I can feel superior about recognizing the costume references.

For some reason the Italian team has never managed to come up with material that I find interesting. I've never quite gotten their angle. Is there a star of the show? I ask because they're skating in the last group and at this level these things matter.

Good recovery, and they worked the music well, but they went a bit stuttery in the step sequence. What a shame.

That doubled sal was quite smooth, but -5 GOE on not using the original version of the song

Well, that's Sui/Han in the final group (big surprise, I know). That should be behind Boikova/Kozlovskii.

they may have hoped for more but even if they skated clean they should have been no higher than where they are. They easily could be behind four teams right now who are behind them for some reason. It seems like the judges really like them. Crown them top ten after free skate.

Yup, I agree regarding the scores, but I also think they hoped for more regarding the perfomance The fall never leaves a good impression.

They definitely have never been great at program selection. It's strange because off ice, they both have loads of personality. Even their exhibition shows a little more personality. I don't know why they haven't been able to channel that into a competitive program. At least we don't have to listen to Magnificat anymore...
