I don't know what did you use but send me, please
I just realized what triggered the outrage of Arbitrarys. Shortly before the release of Sasha's 3Lz+Lo on her first day on ice, he wrote with great enthusiasm:
There was an article in Russian
Anna Shcherbakova already does 3-3 combos. After only three full days on ice.
I thing many would just stop reaching this level if readiness... Not Anna
So I really find it all just embarrassing and ridiculous.

Alysa is special and is off to a great start in her career. But Kamila pretty much dominated her last season and has superior skills. in reality Alysa has a much better chance to make the American Olympic team then Kamila has to make the Russian Olympic team because there's so much more talent and depth in Russia been than is an American ladies skating. Kamila first senior season will be the Olympic season. Maybe she can pull an Alina. ;)

I agree with this, but that's not saying that Alysa is a better skater, I find Kamila currently to be the better skater in all aspects whether that stays the same in 2 seasons we shall see, but Alysa is pretty much already a lock for the Olympic team in the US at this point because she's the only US skater (that I know of) competing elements that can actually compete with the Russians and Japanese skaters. Kamila will be going up against at least 3 skaters that as of right now have more difficult elements than her, likely the defending Olympic champion in some form (at this point she does not have a competition quad or triple axel but still scores well on her other elements and components), and there always seems to be someone unexpected that comes up.

I think that at the moment there is no way to talk about the composition of the Russian Olympic team at the following Olympics. Everything can completely change in these two seasons. The only thing I'm sure of is that the Russian Championships for adults and juniors this year will be even crazier and more interesting than last year. With senior juniors coming to adults and senior novices coming to juniors. I only hope that everyone will be healthy and in the best shape.

^^ Added: Sasha makes my heart beat faster

i think the most we can say at this point is the team will likely consist of some combination of Aliona, Anna, Sasha, Alina, Liza, Kamila, Zhenya, Kseniia, Maiia, and Dasha. That list includes all current top juniors who will be seniors by the olympic season and current seniors but of course injuries, breaks and retirements could happen at anytime.

i want to add that i think it's a possibility that Kamila can pull off a 2018 Alina.

it doesn't look two footed to me, rather a bit UR. but thats ok, especially for one of her first (if not her first) one landed since being back.

Maybe. :) I'm not expert. Her free leg was so close to the ice.

Honestly, Kamila is way more hyped to be the Olympic star than Alina ever was at this point. In fact, at this point four years ago, Alina hadn't even competed internationally yet! Meanwhile, Kamila has been in the public eye for almost two years. Alina's rise was unprecedentedly meteoric. For someone to truly pull off a 2018 Alina, they would have to come out of nowhere on the JGP circuit and win everything this next year.

All true Amei. I personally think Kamila should save some things for her Olympic season. There is really no reason to do too much in the Juniors other than perfect her awesome skating.

If she wants to introduce new elements, she must introduce them before the Olympic season though. No one wants to introduce an element in the Olympic season, thats so risky.

Viktoria Vasilieva is in pairs! WHo will take her grand prix spot? This is very good news for Gubanova fans, unless VIka decides to stay in singles for the first half of the season

what i meant was winning the olympics in her first senior season :)

but i agree with you. Alina did come out of nowhere on the JGP, and even moreso when she turned senior. she snatched everyone's wigs.

Hey, enough. Your personal problems with particular users have other ways how to deal with them then by angry responding to posts several days old, while the discussion (so far quite peaceful for this thread ;)) is completely elsewhere.

Just for your personal info, arbitrary comments in mysterious ways, I remember that before junior worlds he expected that russian girls (which all were Eteri's) will be glad for just one medal, silver at best, so there is no reason to make something it isn't of this "case".

Sorry for :otopic:

I wish Gubanova could get spots, but stupid RusFed didn't even give her a challenger assignment last year so she's not eligible because she's not on the SB :(. She really was robbed when she didn't get a spot in 2019. I'm guessing maybe some combination of Konstantinova or Tarakanova could take the spots since they're the only two close to the top 24 on either list. Yeah they're not on the NT, but that hasn't stopped them from giving people GPs before.

I wish they considered top 24 scores of GP eligible people, because then Tarakanova would be on the top 24. Vasilieva apparently isn't even a singles skater anymore, so why should that be considered in the list?

I don't think you can skate singles for half a season. and pairs for half a season. Could she have gotten inside information that she was not going to get Grand Prix events?
Why leave singles when she was due to get 2 senior GP events according to some? I did read that she had some joint issues and obviously single skating is tougher on the joints than pairs skating. I can't imagine how tough that sport is on the body. I thank everyone here I'd Myers figure skaters for what they go through. They sure are tougher than they look.

I think pairs skating is tougher on the joints - the force coming down from a throw vs a regular jump is much higher. I was surprised by her decision, but I wish her good luck. She is the perfect size for a pairs girl, short and muscular, so I hope she can find success.
