I haven‘t really followed this discussion so I‘m sorry if this has already been asked but:

Is Adelia at the training camp too? I haven‘t seen her in any of the TeamTutberidze pictures. As she‘s the only novice I‘ve allowed myself to get attached to and am looking forward to her junior debut... well, I‘d just like to know whether she‘s training right now or not. :scratch2:

She probably isn't in Novogosk. Also Samsonov (who is a member of a junior national team) and younger boys and other younger girls apart from Sofia Akatieva.

We finally find out who these "best foreign and Russian choreographers", that Plyushenko promised to find for Sasha in May, are in his latest interview ! They are - tada! - Sergey Rozanov.

I decided not to let the phrase "it goes not bad" make me nervous. That thing with the announced specialists is of course the absolute joke (unfortunately without punch line). But by God , everything can still go well. I believe in the Quad Queen.

No doubt Rozanov is promising for the future, though from the previous words I would expect at least Lambiel for Sasha... :scratch2:

You can also see it positively. Hot Sergey knows Sasha well, so it can be assumed that Sasha is good with him and nothing is being put on her. In any case, it is getting more and more exciting. Almost a little too exciting for my weak nerves. :handw:

Rozanov's made some programs I like, but I would hardly call him one of the best choreographers. He's a beginner if anything. Perhaps talented but a far cry from being a top choreographer.

As always, I get the feeling that Plushenko loves pumping his own tires and talking about how amazing he is and how bad the skater's former situation was, no matter how the reality might seem. Also, it feels like he doesn't even know what a quad is or something, so I really have doubts about this supposed 4Lo by Trusova. IMO the fact that Plushenko's team decided that it'd be a good idea to put that terrible 4Lutz by Trusova that was pretty much a downgrade on Instagram for everyone to see shows that they're completely delusional. Hopefully Trusova will actually be able to jump some quads and it won't be a repeat of Tarakanova in that regard.

What's curious to me is how he continues being successful with his poaching even though he has no results to show for it. Tarakanova, Trusova, Zhilina all came from Eteri and Sofia Titova comes from her as well. You'd hope he would be able to show some results at some point, otherwise I don't really get it. There are several other groups in Moscow that have results he could only hope for, and they didn't get handed top-end talent on a silver platter.

Sorry, but with some posts one want to hit the head against the wall. Plushenko doesn't know anything about quads and Trusova downgrades herself because after a 3-month break from practice she doesn't fully rotates a quad in her first week on the ice. And Plushenko still cannot show results with Trusova and Zhilina. Holy Mother! What should one answer on this? :palmf: :bang:

To be fair, its probably not possible to travel to most of the destinations with great choreographers. Even most rinks in Russia don't seem to have opened yet, so they couldn't even go to Averbukh.

I wondered if that was the reason, too, possibly with Plushenko and team having underestimated for how long Covid was still going to have such a heavy impact. I mean, I suppose in that case they could have said now that things just didn't pan out, so Rozanov is doing it instead, but that does feel like it could have come off as a little insulting, too, if you didn't find exactly the right tone. "We didn't get who we wanted because of the virus, so we're dealing with this guy's mediocre choreography instead :sarcasm: ", lol

Davis studied in a group with Tutberidze as a single skater. At some point, the athlete’s progress slowed down - there was not enough coordination. Mother decided not to risk the health of the young figure skater and insisted on her transition to ice dancing.
“The transition of Diana from single skating to ice dancing is my decision. Diana didn’t want to. She knows everything as a single skater, she knows all the jumps. But people with her diagnosis have a different coordination,
It’s more difficult for them. Any fall can result in serious injury, and I can never forgive myself for this, ”
This was confirmed by Diana herself. To questions on social networks, the girl noted that she was not afraid of injuries, but “the coaches were categorically against performing in single skating.”

"Indeed, initially I did not really like ice dancing, because I wanted to jump and got used to train with my mother (Eteri Tutberidze). But it turns out she was right. I want to progress, grow in ice dancing. Now I would not want to skate in singles," - said, laughing, Davis.

what? Sasha was just off the ice for 2 months and landing a "terrible" 4lz her first week back is a downgrade? yes it was obviously a bit UR, but what the heck do you expect from her? that's amazing to do in your first week back on the ice and goes to show how resilient she is.

Well... May be it wasn't the very first attempt, rather the first more or less successful one?
She could try doing quads the whole day or a couple of hours... Plushenko said something like "we retrieved/resurrected all her quads and (... a small secret...) she learned a new one - the 4Lo!"

Understandable enough landing a jump once hardly means it's fully learned. Plushenko himself is a good example with his quads and dead spine.
And that 4Lz wasn't too much URed. Definitely not downgraded nor two-footed. It looked more like Yerevan's jump.

Plyushenko got a permission for Lola, surely he could've gotten one for Averbukh (or that choreographer from Bolshoi that was announced as well) too, so they'd come to Kislovodsk.

Plyushenko could've also tried not to brag too much, but that would be hoping for something nearly impossible :)
