really are you forgetting that the skaters including sahsa stopped training for several months, its only natural that not all quads are bafk to whatq it was last year. Same goes for anna, and aljona with her 3a, that goes for any skater. And she fell last year on her quads or doubled out, the only time she landed 4 quads last year in a competition setting was at japan open, and other jumps as well, she also had stepsequences level 3 last year.. and i actually like that the programms arent packed eith transitions the way they were last season, iam actually happy to see her arms not flapping around like last year ( i get that she was supposed to give the impression she was flying but really for me it was a big no)You refuted nothing. Stsq at EuCh was level 4, now it's level 3, 4Lz was bad, no 4S at all, 3Lz+3Lo wasn't landed (warm-ups doesn't count of course), flip wasn't marked '!' last season even once, now it is twice in one competition, programs are afwul and empty and don't fit her at all, jump entries are simplified, less transitions of course.
True; it's just that, for me, with Plyushenko at the helm of Sasha's training first thing that comes to mind is not "miracle is coming" but "primum non nocere".I think that this faith lives in the heart of every fan of these wonderful young athletes when they go out on the ice)
Maybe it’s your way of seeing the videos, but I guess you would get an F if this was a homework. With Eteri flip edge was hardly ever flat, now it's clearly wrong. Go do your research yourself.
Seriously, I won’t lose my time trying to explain something to such a closed minded person. I know your opinions and your bias, I see what you post here. They are present in several other cultures and dance forms, and can represent sexual movements. Further, I am sure people can look at the choreography and decide for themselves why such a movement has been placed there, what it looks like, so on and so forth. Funny to see the suggestion that hip movements don't necessarily represent sexuality, so intent no longer matters.
And it offends me that people make such generalising statements about any art or its reception.
Maybe it’s your way of seeing the videos, but I guess you would get an F if this was a homework.
Yes, your brand really is to close off your opinions to change, unfortunately. I guess when people disagree, they can simply be called close minded. Nice way to never have to defend your opinions.Seriously, I won’t lose my time trying to explain something to such a closed minded person.
Unfortunately, I read your posts too. Sad, really. I guess no one else has any experience in the arts... Why else would the people who disagree with you be "blindly biased"?I know your opinions and your bias, I see what you post here.
It isn't appropriate. Funny though, that I responded to a post of you quoting Sasha Plushenko doing a performance of Tango Amore.Let me make you a question:
Do you think THIS is appropriate?
Watching a 15 year old Alina Zagitova with a very provocative costume vs. a hip shimy by Sasha during competition.
Well, if you have enough strength and love to resist all this hatred that is imposed with such great persistence on this sport in Russia, then in the end there is always only ice and an athlete who goes to the arena to show people his performance. So there is always hope. Everything else is secondary and does not matter.True; it's just that, for me, with Plyushenko at the helm of Sasha's training first thing that comes to mind is not "miracle is coming" but "primum non nocere".
Have to be happy there are better graders out there.

To tell the truth i dont find the hip movement innapropiate for sasha it is one little hip shake, god people , i mean she is what 16 and will be 17 next year, it was different with big spender since she was only 14 then and the lycris was not som3thing that a 14 year old should skate too ,but at 16 many teenagers are already on partys and dancing and more often then not the hip movement there is much more than just the shake we see from sasha here, i know i was already going into the disco since in the next city we had a disco that had discotimes for teenagers meaning until 10 pm in the evening, after that it was adult timeSeriously, I won’t lose my time trying to explain something to such a closed minded person. This is all the (original) point even was. However, if she is feeling uncomfortable then she shouldn't do it.
Not to mention teenage disco evenings on vacation, all of us teenagers were i think from age 15/16 and up, and we were all dancing on the dancefloor having fun, and yes moving our hips to the rythm of the music if it was the right music for that and generally dancing like someone dances in a disco. ,To tell the truth i dont find the hip movement innapropiate for sasha it is one little hip shake, god people , i mean she is what 16 and will be 17 next year, it was different with big spender since she was only 14 then and the lycris was not som3thing that a 14 year old should skate too ,but at 16 many teenagers are already on partys and dancing and more often then not the hip movement there is much more than just the shake we see from sasha here, i know i was already going into the disco since in the next city we had a disco that had discotimes for teenagers meaning until 10 pm in the evening, after that it was adult time
Thing is we have no idea what she thinks about this element, mabye she likes it but since its soemthing new its still just that to her? New? But it isnt innapropiate for a 16 year old to give one little shake of her hips if said skater,is ok with the move,The is all the (original) point even was.
I think the only person who can possibly know if she’s uncomfortable doing this is herself. And let’s not talk about “this” as if it was something dirty, this is dance, choreography, body expression. I would feel more uncomfortable having to do her SP last season than a hip movement that’s not meant to be sexual. I just can’t understand why people are making such a big deal out of a dance move. Come on, it’s 2020, the Catholic Church won’t send us to hell.Similar point to @fabienne1996. You can do a lot in Russia at 16 is all I'll say. However, if she is feeling uncomfortable then she shouldn't do it.
Yes, you're right. I don't get to shout "inappropriate" easily but seeing a 15-year old OGM in this costume I felt it was inappropriate for her age and somehow out of place. As for Sasha's hip movement debate, it reminds more of the twist debate, which was really a hot issue but in the 50s, which is like 70 years ago.Seriously, I won’t lose my time trying to explain something to such a closed minded person. Folks, really? Today you can see girls of all ages doing movements like that in ANY dance classes, fitness classes and PE warm ups.I believe the original point mentioned both age and also whether she was uncomfortable. In my opinion the age part isn't a factor now. The uncomfortable part, she wasn't so good at doing it, but then Sasha being uncomfortable with choreographical elements doesn't tell us a lot!The is all the (original) point even was.
Aww, maybe next time don't make comments mocking Russians then.A person’s nationality is something that actually doesn’t matter to me.
I'm fine with differing opinions.I believe the original point mentioned both age and also whether she was uncomfortable. In my opinion the age part isn't a factor now. The uncomfortable part, she wasn't so good at doing it, but then Sasha being uncomfortable with choreographical elements doesn't tell us a lot!
You finding something inappropriate has nothing to do with your nationality, and I didn't assume anything about your nationality because I don't think it matters. You DID assume that I would find all of those dances inappropriate actually, AND that I'm conservative. So yeah, put your cards on the table. Do you know which of those dances my culture practices for me to not like them and find them disgusting?
Otherwise, shut up. You have less than zero knowledge about the people on here, and you are PRIMARILY the only person on this thread who keeps making personal attacks on people. Whenever people disagree, you start attacking them. I and most I know would hate to be treated by a doctor like you.
Lord I hope she won't. The last thing I want is Sasha being indebted to T Tarasova.Tarasova said Sasha's level 3 was mistake...she sad she will talk with the judges...
