There were better ways to explain why Russia has better depth you know. Not that agressivity towards Japaneses and Asada who isn't even competing anymore.

Now Lipnitskaia and Kostner weren't competition in 2014 and GPF isn't a big title.....

Agree. That was unnecessarily harsh toward the Japanese ladies and a dig at the retired Mao Asada.

I actually find 2014 Worlds to be pretty competitive despite being a post-Olympics worlds. I would definitely rank it above 2011 and 2012 Worlds in terms of competitiveness of field and overall quality of skating. 2013 Worlds wasn't that well-skated besides Kim, so it's a toss up for me between those two. 2014 Worlds had a motivated Yulia (for her first title) and Carolina (for a second title) competing against Mao. I would rate the quality of the short programs to be higher than in Sochi. Yulia was considered by many fans and media to be a gold medal contender in Sochi and Carolina is considered by some to be the true winner in Sochi. Not an easy field at all imo.

IG blocked access to the account apparently, same with a Kostornaya account.

Could be server problems, hacking attempts, anything. The approaching US presidential elections could mean the social media are getting stricter.

Wait a couple of hours or days.

Again, any skater should have his/her account authenticated with the little blue star so they are more protected.

Not much, certainly not anything controversial or revealing. The interpreter Russian<>English was very accurate but took his time.

Did you expect otherwise? We'd like to know of course, but I'd hate to see Aleksandra embarrassed in public.
All the clips were from her past achievements yet she didn't speak a word about Khrustalniy, Tutberidze etc. Just like in that book.

And she was tense, despite the giggles and smiles. Still, she held herself well, so good job, I'd say.

She won't get away like this at post competition press conferences I'd think.

I wasn't expecting something shocking, but I mean, the questions were like "how did you feel about Worlds being cancelled?", "how did you feel winning your first junior worlds?"
I thought the interviewer could have at least focused on the present season or upcoming events or something that Sasha hasn't already talked about 1000 times before in other past interviews.

The interviewer is mexican, so it could be that the focus of her show is oriented to a more casual audience.
I hadn't watched any of her other videos or interviews before, so I didn't know what to expect.

There were clips from Junior Worlds, Japan Open AND her both programmes for this season from the last Russian Cup (SP and FS) as well as her recent 4Lo. Not all were from her times with TT. None of the coaches were named, really, neither from the old, nor from the new team. Just for the record and to keep it straight :)
Anyway, just a nice interview targeting the general public outside of Russia, whose members, in general, do not care the slightest for all the recent drama, provided they ever even heard of it

Indeed! I randomly woke up at 5:30am (Aussie time) and decided to watch.

It was a really sweet interview 😊 not hard hitting or anything, but eh, what did you expect?

The interviewer Masha is clearly a big fan.

Olga Kozhemyakina, ISU technical controller in single skating, evaluates the programs of Yelizaveta Tuktamysheva, Sof'ya Samodurova, Yevgeniya Medvedeva and Kamila Valiyeva at the start of the season.

Judge: "Trusova always had remarks on spins, but we noticed that she got much better with them"

Judge: "Medvyedeva is capable any style, the main thing is for her to be healthy and have a normal training process"

Entries for GP Rostelecom are complete.

No more Russian girls added, instead we have Galustyan, Ryabova, Safonova, Kiibus and Urushadze as non-Russian entries.

The Russian ladies will be: Gulyakova, Kostornaia, Medvedeva, Samodurova, Shcherbakova, Trusova and Tuktamysheva.

So no Sinitsyna :( (What's up with her? I'm getting worried.)

And will Medvedeva be ready to compete? I guess we'll see if she turns up at Stage Four in a couple of weeks.
