Facepalm
i wonder since so many skaters have been sick and missed training time or are missing nationals if RusFed will use whatever they come up with to sub Euros as another qualification competition for the world team.

Valiyeva is competing hors de concours when it comes to selection for the World Championships, which changes the dynamics of the possible contenders Shcherbakova, Trusova, Kostornaya and Tuktamysheva. For all of them, their phsysical health and mental readiness is different.
Well I'm sure they all knew before the season even started that Valieva was going to be on the main senior team next year just like they were for their first season. I find it strange that the situation has been phrased like its some great anomaly when in reality every couple of years there's a promising junior skating at senior Nationals that's favored to win it was just 2 years ago that 3 of the 4 skaters mentioned were in that exact position as Valieva is in right now.Obviously, but with Valiyeva the main contender for the Gold medal, without the need to qualify for the World Championships, since junior worlds got cancelled, what does her presence (and those of Usachyova and Khromykh) mean as to the top 6 ranking and financing?
There surely must something be written in the FFKKR rules? I.e. ISU seniors only, I suppose.
Well, you just have to look at how many participants happened to be infected or "have a cold" coincidentally after the Rostelecom Cup and then add 1 and 1. Throughout the event, probably no more than 50 to 60 percent of the audience wore their masks in a way that they could do the job! We don't even talk about the teams and the fact that athletes were sometimes withdrawn with fever during the events. The fact that a banquet was held in Moscow and meetings with fans were possible after the competition really only crowns the "good Organisation" on.Well is there any evidence that the positive Covid cases are coming from competitions and not ancillary things the banquet or the everyday lives of the skaters? I mean I see pictures on social media of athletes hanging out outside of competition/practice, doing non-competitive events, taking pictures and taking gifts from fans, etc.
Who? Kolyada or Semenenko or Tuktamysheva or Guliakova or Samodurova?Looks like someone from Mishin’s camp is about to withdraw from nationals.
Yay! I though she had retired. Glad to hear that she will be back next year. There are some good news too (so that we wouldn’t be sad about all the withdrawals): Sima said she got injured shortly after quarantine and spent half an year recovering, she’s planning to compete starting 2021, there’s a competition in April in StPb.
