I can’t help but think Liza‘s technical progress unfortunately happened in the incorrect Olympic cycle. That she needed her current content (1*3A in SP and 2 in FS) heading to 2018 Olympics. With that she would’ve likely been on the podium, and would’ve made history for Russia.I feel so conflicted about this. On the one hand I would really like Liza to get another go at a World Championship after what happened in 2019. As much as I love her and wish for her to make the Olympics next year, realistically I don't think she stands a chance, so she should have at least another Worlds at the dusk of her career.
On the other hand, Aliona was robbed of her Worlds medal in 2020 by the pandemic. It is not a given that she makes the team next year, so she should really have this opportunity to compete at what could be the only World Championship of her career.
Sometimes figure skating is such a cruel sport (especially if you are a Russian lady).![]()
Good job! Continuing a wild tradition of amazing Sofias of Russia!3A by Sofia Titova
Ugh 2 Romeo's back to back.....
This girl is cursed...Saw the schedule for today at Tatyana Flade's Insta-stories and guess what: Dasha skates last
Kamila is the first to go of ladies![]()

Nnnnooooo!Ugh 2 Romeo's back to back.....
Well, for me "fun" is not exactly the right word. I see a lot of drama, politics, bad words, media wars, and as a result the stress for skatersNext year... what a fun time it will be to watch all these young girls try to make it to the Olympics.
Let's hope she will master 3A.So sad that Darya with her current content going clean would have been Olympic Champion in 2014, and today most likely she'll not even get a spot to go
While I am a Daria fan, I am not sure she is better at portraying this particular music. The slower sections suit her, but other sections suit Sasha more... Honestly, I would be very happy to never see either program again or ever have another R&J program in figure skating. Please be more creative choreographers.I don't know what's the big deal with Dasha skating last.
She's clearly able to deliver hehe
Sasha is in a bit of an advantage performance-wise I think. In the sense that it would be kinda less obvious that Dasha is better in portraying it.![]()
I don't think just having a 3A will be enough next year. Same goes for Aliona. They'll need a quad to push Sasha off the team unless she gets injured.Let's hope she will master 3A.
I love Sasha skating her footwork to dance of the knights, I'd give the other pieces to Daria. And yes to more creativity, for the love of all that is good. While I am a Daria fan, I am not sure she is better at portraying this particular music. Maybe. I would definitely try to get quads if I were them. But if Sasha doesn't have a 3A next year, the Russian judges have shown they aren't going to break 80 in the short for her. And with Kamila they've shown they're very happy to dump an extra 10 points on a short with a triple axel, skating skills, and someone they like. In the long, being inconsistent and out of favor could still put her behind a skater being helped with GoE and PCS.I don't think just having a 3A will be enough next year. Same goes for Aliona. Where are the surprises Daniil promised us? Is the surprise just that we still hate him?Kamila is going for 3A, 4T2T and 4T in the free. Anna seems to have 4Lz and 4F planned. Sasha has 4Lz3T, 4Lz and 4T planned. None of them had a clean run-through, but that doesn't mean anything for the actual competition.

I guess it's Kamila's 3A in the free plus there was talk about Maia adding another quad but I am not sure whether that happened as no one mentioned how her training wentMaybe.
