That gives you the highest chance. And likely makes you untouchable.

Basically dominating is to command and rule. And you can't say that Aliona exercised that over her rivals. She didn't win everything. And it was never expected she would. If anything, it was expected that Sasha would.
Well, i kind of agree. If dominating is being sure to win if clean.

Oh, no, the joke was that Kamila, Maiia, Daria, Anna, Aliona and Evgenia would all win Olympic Gold. Just a joke. :)
Oooh haha. Eh even still I don't think that applies for Maiia, Daria, and Evgenia. Although Daria has the best chance with upgrades. Maiia and Daria don't have the reputation and consistent difficult elements and Evgenia doesn't have the elements. Rika would win that most likely haha...

Igor doesnt choreograph ? hes only dance technician ?
if he does, He can as he is in Moscow, right
That's not what I meant and has nothing to do with anything. I meant it's unlikely that they would go to Marina to choreograph anything because of the relations between Igor and Marina. At least as long as Igor is coaching Eteri's daughter. Also Igor is a coach and does in fact choreograph Diana and Gleb's programs and has done others before. Yes it's ice dance but Marina also primarily does ice dance.

I hope people realize that a lot of this drama is obvious kayfabe... not fake or planned in advanced per se but intentionally sensationalized to generate drama to make you intentionally interested and engaged.

Wow, so Kostyleva really is back to Tutberidze. I heard about that recently but i thought it was just rumors
Good for her. It could be a waste of talent otherwise

They should hire the one who does choreos for Panova (Sinitsyna's programs).
Ilona Protasenia (Sinitsyna's LP) or Nadezhda Kanaeva (her SP)?

Protasenia seems to be the in-house choreographer for Snow Leopards - do they have any conditions restricting her from working for other clubs' clients? The only non-Snow Leopard example I know is Matvei Vetlugin, but as a boy he isn't a direct competitor. Kanaeva's with Arutunian in California so would require remote choreo, which I don't think is ideal for Kostornaia at least. I'm also not sure about her freedom to work with non-Raf skaters (Panova is sort of affiliated through going to Raf for for summer camps).

I like both choreographers and would be happy to see them utilised more frequently, but if not, Daniil's stuff is serviceable for scoring purposes (I found Twilight tacky but the PCS/Choreo marks disagree).

Eteri has a new assistant helping her oversee the training process:

We can confirm it’s the authentic Eteri Duck since it doesn’t smile either.

That‘s what scared me, too. Alright, trial period, I get it. But is it dependent on her getting the 3A back? Because if so, that‘s a mission impossible. She‘s injured, recovering from COVID and completely out of shape. The end of the season is in 4 weeks.

This...is not doable.

Well, and someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Plushenko's are the ones I've read that are saying she's injured not Kostornaia.

How is it that Aliona is doing a 3Lz-3T and already looks better?! 😂

Practice is a lot different than competition.

Tut allowed Aliona to rejoin the team, but... on probationary basis :scratch2:

A lot of the rumors that have come out of AoP and some of the comments made by Eteri regarding Kostornaia's first departure implied behavioral issues. Probationary period is probably to vet out if she's truly onboard with doing things Eteri's way with no talk-back, no drama. And probation doesn't seem that strange of a situation for skaters that coach-hop, it was said that Tarakanova was on probation last year in her second stint with Panova.

Poor Anna. These 3 weeks all the attention should be directed towards her in team tut because she's the only one going to Worlds. My poor girl deserves better than all these disturbances to her training.

I doubt that Shcherbakova will be getting any less attention from her coaching team because Kostornaia is back in Eteri's group. And the fact that the media drama circus seems focused around Kostornaia, that might help Shcherbakova out.

Pro wrestling terminology in a figure skating forum. Now I’ve definitely seen it all. Haha

But I have said that figure skating does pro wrestling better than pro wrestling does. Crooked referees, Dusty finishes, heel turns, etc.

Do we know when the skaters are leaving and if they'll have to do a week-long quarantine as recommended by the Swedish government?

You’re missing the whole point of winning figure skating competitions. The ones that “dominate” are the ones that commit the least mistakes. In figure skating where everyone has the same elements who do you think will win most of the time? The ones that don’t make mistakes and skate with high skating skills and artistry. Yuna Kim dominated because even though Mao Asada had 3As the latter always had little mistakes when she skated. Alyona always skated cleanly along with her high level of skating skills that’s why she won most of the time.

I think we have different criteria for what we consider dominating skaters, that's okay :) I don't think Kostornaia was a dominating skater last season; her winning required Shcherbakova and Trusova to make errors, see that Shcherbakova still won every FS segment even though she had errors.

That tv news piece made me sick. I've never seen so much PR, bs and fake smiles in my life.
Whatever, just leave Anya out of it or I will bite your hands off. 😠

Kostyleva, Kostornaia, Medvedeva, Tsurskaya, Punin, Pokhilyuk all came back to Eteri just this season. Plus Elizabet 3 years ago. Eteri had a season of comebacks.
