Has anyone here watched Ghost? I wonder if it's a good movie or not, all the figure skaters seem to love it... Or maybe it's one of those horro B movies that are terrible but cult classics

I wouldn’t say hated. But I haven’t followed her junior career, and based on her being so overscored in this event...I am not impressed with what the Russian federation is doing. She won’t gain fans. People will start to hope other skaters beat her inflated scores. That’s just the reality.
I honestly hope her skating improves, because right now it doesn’t appear she’s ready for all the hype the Russian federation is putting on her.
It’s not necessarily her fault, but many were disappointed in this ridiculous scoring.

Yes I have, around 10 years ago or so. And I don´t even remember what the movie was about
. Patrick Swayze was in that one right? It was the reason I watched the movie I guess. It could probably not match up with Dirty Dancing!
I'm fine with her not portraying Juliet but my impression watching her is still very much Game of Thrones flashbacks - it's music that's on in the background while she skates.
I had hoped that by doing Romeo and Juliet that they were giving her a character to portray to help some connection to the music.
It doesn't matter if she's Juliet or not (her fans can scream that until they're blue in the face) but giving her music that has a clear and obvious storyline that the whole entire world knows was a huge mistake. Especially when that story in general doesn't fit her skating style. Unless you are artistic in some way to start with it's hard to put a new spin on a old warhorse convincingly
If they wanted to give her music with a character to help her interpret music it should have been something closer to her strength. Like Lawrence of Arabia or something

No resemblance in the face whatsoever! I met them both in person and Krasnozhon will always be a young Tano to me. But, hey, whatever floats your boatsay what you want, @LadyB , Antonishev still reminds me of Krasnozhon (and i have to distract myself from his arms)

Indeed, last year he skated with Katia Iureva and quite good as well. Came ahead of older team comrades at times. Haven’t seen any trainings pics from them so far, hope they’re still part of Mozer Team
Ghost was a good movie, I remember when it came out 30! years ago. Demi Moore's haircut was iconic as was the "Unchained Melody" pottery scene. And Whoopi won an Oscar. Captures NYC towards the end of the 80s. However, most of the Ghost programs are based on the Broadway Musical soundtrack, which is based on the film. I am a Broadway Uber but I did not see it because I am not a fan of movies turned musicals, in general (or musicals turned into movies, lol).
Of the top three ladies, I enjoyed Daria's skate the most - she is really lovely and it was nice to see her smiling. Sasha's combo was out of this world, (her height on the 4T), and it was also nice to see her happy. Poor Kamila - it's sad to see her so upset, since she knows she can do better but it's not the end of the world. I really don't like Bolero as a program for a young teen. Ravel said it was his weakest piece and I always think of Caro at the Olympics, since she owned it.
The scoring was a bit suspect all around, but that's to be expected. I just want to say how ridiculous Plushy looks with his mask on, with his nose out. He might as well not even wear the dang thing. I have to give points to Team Eteri who all wear their masks correctly. I still think they should not take them off in the KnC either, but it's Russian theater and we want to see if her face moves (lol).

my mum loved it, she kept watching it every time it was on tv. romantic stuff has never been my stuff even as a child
all i can remember is the pottery scene with the ominous music that became ubiquitous, Woopy Goldberg being possessed e probably having sex with Demi Moore, Patrick Swayze being...well himselfi could see her better in a storyless but energetic program, like Malaguena (we all know Plushenko likes warhorses), or one of the epic movie trailer music so in fashion these last few years
