in the next stages, both Tuktamysheva and Samodurova have to meet Trusova, Kostornaya, and Khromykh the junior.

So again, planning by #TeamTutberidzeForProgress to give their charges a 'somewhat easier' route to qualify in high ranks. But given how the girls themselves reacted, they now have the worst behind them and will compete in the finals with fresh energy and new emotions.

What exactly would be #TeamMishin's strategy and development plan to get either of Gulyakova or Samodurova in medal contention?

Yes, good planning. However, I can't imagine Tuk, Kostornaya, or Trusova will have any difficulty qualifying. Khromykh should be fine too ( although given her inconsistency it can't be guaranteed). I worry for Sofia.

Of course they well qualify, and even the starting order based on ranking points shouldn't matter that much in the short program.

They are athletes, fighters even, which should take every competition at this level equally serious. Yet, a lot of people seem to forget that Valiyeva and Usachyova are still international juniors, 'inexperienced children' competing against some seasoned adults.. Both girls will only emerge stronger from this Russian Cup.

In the media, the talking head are already chopping at each other, trying to raise more scandal.

Anyway, off to pairs, which will be the dessert of the day.
