It's the level of Russian Cup skating though, just this year it gets much more attention.

Of course I am happy to see Tarakanova, but I am so sad that my favorite (or one of my favorite) Russian lady Ksenia Sinitsyna doesn't appear to be participating at all this season. I really hope she isn't seriously ill or injured. Will Valieva go for a 3A in the SP?

No, that was her former training mate, Alena Kanysheva who switched to Eteri and then injury forced her to change disciplines. Sinitsyna was injured and now she is "ill" which is scary given the situation in Russia.

In the summer she posted some pics of her training with the Russian national roller skating team, so everyone assumed she'd switched to roller skating.

I really enjoyed from Tsibinova. Bar the 3Lo step everything was good. She has a real feel for the music, it never feels rushed or rehearsed. One of my fave shorts from last year was her ‘Never Enough’

she should be safe for nationals. Nice score.
