I'm only gonna be able to watch a handful of performers. Who/which are the most interesting skaters/programs today?

Morozova and Gorbacheva, as i said, should be interesting, in the 3rd group Zhilina is one to watch and one of the favourites for a medal

Junior ladies of Russia are really really impressive so far. Looks like we’re gonna have a battle of Sofias at JrNats!
Both look like full-package skaters, if I had to be extra picky, I’d say Samodelkina needs to fix her posture, cause Akatieva’s posture is goals, but it shouldn’t affect her scores and shouldn’t really matter.

I actually found Samodelkina to be more polished than Akatieva, especially in the FS.
But to be fair, I've only seen Samodelkina from the test skates. Akatieva does have more flair though!

First three and Veronika Zhilina are those who are fighting for the medals, with the possibility that Gorbatcheva can skater well too.

I prefer Akatieva because of her SS, posture, and programs. (Proof I don't hate all Dani G programs) But, they are both amazing as you say!

I think Samodelkina looks more confident. I can just see her confidence the minute she’s on the ice, while Akatieva looks a little less sure about herself. It makes a difference in perception to me, but I find Akatieva to be more pleasing aesthetically because of her line, posture, SS. Samodelkina is very good in those too (aside from posture), but that’s really splitting hairs, because both are crazy good skaters for their age. It would be really hard to differentiate scores between them, had I been a judge.

wonderful unknown (to me) skater. sadly in this field with her current contents she won't go anywhere. to think that almost everywhere else she could be national champion
