I mean Anna Alexandra and Alena were the Kamila of 2019. They pushed out Alina and Evgenia. I’m sure they knew it was bound to happen. If anything I feel bad for Alena who was arguably the leader that season and watching Anna and Alexandra there without her must be tough. I give credit to Alexandra and Anna as I don’t think we thought that 2 of the 3A would make it. Some didn’t even think 1 could.

Yes I am thinking about Aliona too. I am sure she's very upset at the federation for messing around with Anna and that free skate for a gold medal.

Yeah 3A was so special in 2019. Then coronavirus took over and Aliona did not have her chance to win worlds which she probably would have.

Well its a good thing we dont have the Evgenia and Alina dynamic this time round cause if this happened in 2018, Evgenia would have left Eteri on the spot. Hopefully no "Why didnt you keep Kamila in juniors" from Anna and Alexandra cause they seem way too nice esp Anna.

The Federation never would have done that to Zhenya a two-time world champion and Olympic favorite. We don't know what Anna's reaction is and I wouldn't blame her whatever she decides to do. It's not everyday your bosses intentionally cost you an Olympic gold medal. How can you ever forgive them for that?

I wish there was some way they could get these corrupt people out of the Russian figure skating Federation and put some younger more open-minded people in.

Well if you read a couple pages ago, apparently (though officially I think probably unconfirmed) there was a blow-up about the pairs teams and the Fed made the decision to not make any substitutions; Shcherbakova was going to do the FS; Mishin was apparently involved - suspiciously he was in the kiss/cry of the Team event last night even though his only skater there did not compete in the team event so he had 0 business being the box. <<< Which was dumb all the way around given covid, there should have been a hardset rule that only skaters that were in the team event could be in the box (on the SP/SD nights there were some skaters that did not compete in the team event at all) and only coaches of skaters competing that night could be in the box. Margarita Mamun said that Trusova and Shcherbakova waited until the very end to hear, so if Mamun is speaking accurately, this was a last minute decision to not make any substitutions.

My best assumption - did TT try to overplay their power and get T/M in the team event even though they are the least consistent of the 3 pairs and Mishin blew up about it... Which if my assumption is correct, TT might have ruined their relationship with Shcherbakova - imagine its the case and her coaching team inadvertently sabotaged her chances at an Olympic medal. Unfortunately the Vincent Zhou situation is an indicator, just because the athletes are in the bubble and everyone is tested daily a positive case could still happen and force a WD.

or the team thinks that like with all the other skaters before the reign of sasha ,anna and aljona is over and they concentrate on the currrent star which is kamila , knowing that sofia akatieva is already waitting in the sahdows to come out on the senior circuit soon?, but we dont know it if the team tried to fight for anna getting the fs in the team comp?

Please I want Anna or Estella (sorry Cruella, sorry Sasha lol) to take that Olympic title. I love Kami too (heck, they're all my sentimental favorites), but it would be a great Olympic moment if someone could beat her. I don't understand why RusFed didn't put Anna and Sasha in the team event and they all would have gotten a gold medal. So sad!

I feel like Kamila earned the opportunity to make history by landing the first quad at the Olympics. I agree with those who think she's the best woman ever, so it's fitting that she will always have this record. Anna and Sasha will have records themselves landing the first 4Lz and/or 4F at the Olympics here.

What happens now at TT? Did EG go to battle for Anna in the free skate of the team event? If she did not and Anna would know this and would no doubt leave this summer. The same goes for Sasha and Aliona probably already has one skate out the door.

Also how much can these girls take of the KV overload? She is a Phenom like we've never seen in figure skating and so likable. But Anna Sasha and aliona are also great and special. Anna and Sasha have to be deeply hurt that they were brushed to the side and didn't even get a chance to be and the team event.

Maybe this is the crazy genius of the Russian Federation that they're out there to destroy their own Dynasty in ladies figure skating.

Eteri is powerful but I think she couldn't do much. I can see that there was a disagreement to see which pair would compete in the FS with Mishin supporting B/K (St. Petersburg school) and since they could not agree, all changes were sacrificed to avoid any drama and that only those participated in both events were deserving of the team gold medal.

After Pyeongchang there were many TT exits: Medvedeva, Tsurskaya, Panenkova. Who do you think will leave this year? Maiia, Daria, Alena?

If indeed there were internal conflicts going on , then the Federation did the right thing by keeping all the team the same. I don't really deal in speculation and rumour, I prefer facts not dodgy sports ru journalism! Congratulations to Kamila two wonderful skates . Fully deserved Team Gold.

Why? Anna and sasha were landing quads in competitions 2 years ago so one of them should have been the 1st and KV should have done the short. Unless she gets injured in practice or catches coronavirus like Vincent I'm saying KV is going to be the Olympic champion. Someone else could have gotten some glory too in the team event.

With American pairs and dance performing strong in day 1, there were some very unlikely scenarios that could have resulted in USA winning gold (i.e. pairs matching their SP placement adds 2 points, Karen beating everyone except the Russians like she did at Worlds adds 5 points, and Vincent placing ahead of the Russian skater would put the teams at a tie).

Yes they are like 7 year olds - Have you seen their reactions when a student leaves them. I give Davydov a lot of credit because last year when Berestovskaya left for Sambo he or his PR team posted a nice Instagram post about her departure, no mud slinging or airing of dirty laundry

After day one and what was coming up on day two of the team if and it looks like it might come down to the wire and not be a blowout but by the time the ladies free skate came on it was a freaking blow out so Anna showed up gone no matter what this person said or that person said.

Now they have to put all this behind andI focus on their event which is still 7 days away. With Vincent testing positive and missing the men's individual event after he skated the team event I am very nervous for what could happen to any of the TT girls.

I meant acting like seven-year-old Russians and talkin about are the leaders of the Russian figure skating Federation who decided to steal gold medals from Anna and one of the pairs teams over some kind of dispute.

It may be in St Petersburg vs Moscow problem but the Olympic stage when three Russians could have gotten gold medals is no place for that dispute.

Yes Davydov had a nice reaction when Liza B left for TT.

That would be really bad if one of the three that had their gold medal stolen by the Federation caught coronavirus and could Escape that would be like a double whammy or something.

They are in a bubble for god sakes let's pull back on the testing unless someone has obvious symptoms like vomiting severe headaches or high temperature.
