It's really hard to compare across competitions and during different points in the different season, but for some reference:
Piper and Paul scored about 5.5 points less at Autumn Classic than they did in winning a medal in the WC. And that's to be expected this early in the new season - nothing wrong with their score. But I'm using it as a measuring stick in this case.
For Green and Parsons to equal the score of a highly-ranked USA WC team this early in the season is a very good result. It is certainly better than I would have supposed it would be.
They look like a team on the rise... a rapid rise.
I like H/B, but it was apparent to me last season that the judges weren't as in love with their skating as I am. I'd say that the race for the National bronze medal will be spirited, and it's not out of the question that we'll see some shakeups in placement in the 3-5 spots. Time will tell.
