Mark Hanratty comments on the musical and artistic touches right In Tandem with his comments on technical excellence or difficulty. I love this ... and it takes a lot of skill and care and attentiveness to what he values in skating. Well done!

And a mini rant. I wish so many of these girls wouldn't wear black. I like to see them in rich or bright colors, or the lovely white of Haein Lin. A little part of me suspects that they wear black wanting to look thinner, which is upsetting.

Well it's pretty important and unfair to the other competitors if one gets unjustly boosted by 6-7 points.

At least Kiibus was ahead of Schott, if only by less than a point. Not sure if Schott deserved 1.5 points higher in PCS though.

I think Liza's being in first is very fair. that is the value of that triple axel. It's high risk-reward. I would have had Kim head of Chen.

My favourite skater is Satoko so I should be all aboard the "let's ignore the UR" train but I'm not. Karen should have been called for the Toe IMO.
