Planned 2A but planning the 2A shows a lack of confidence which is why it made me worried for her skate.

Great performance as usual from Anna! I saw the photo of her crying in practice yesterday, glad to see she's much brighter today

That crying must be her way of getting the tension out. I always needed to fall apart in practice or warmup to get my act together. I would start so tense and I needed to goof up to stop being so tight so I could move properly.

Huh, from that angle Sakamoto's 3Lutz didn't look as bad as usual. She must have worked on the edge.

She changed the entry. It is still a flutz. She is an fabulous skater regardless.

I don't know how Kaori saved that landing but dear God, she did it!

Kaori give me HEART ATTACK on that 3T landing why don't you? I was really hoping for a completely clean skate to keep her in medal contention (it was a long shot but I LOVE HER OKAY). At least she didn't fall.

Not my favorite SP of hers but pretty well done. I love her speed and flow out of the 2A.

The thing with Anna is everyone goes on about her musicality - but turn off the music and it makes no difference. All of her programmes and expressions are always exactly the same. The head tilt with a look a pain. So boring. Give me Liza every day of the week.
