It really wasn't q. It was UR. But, some calls will be missed depending on whether the technical panel chooses to review them. Hopefully, it won't happen in the free. But, honestly, there are always some calls that get ignored and it usually isn't politics... It's just how strict each panel and how good they are at their jobs. She would still be leading if the UR got called but a score of 69-70 would be more appropriate

Still recovering from Kurakova. I don’t think I’ve ever seen anything like it. Has the choreographer not left his village since 1987? Brian Orser must be seriously wondering what happened.

Yeah.. I mean I liked that they went for something different, and I think that some of the choreo COULD have worked (if not for the fall and her distraction later on). But it was all too literal, including the costume. The music cuts were questionable, and the whole performance, well... a learning experience. She didn't have an easy season, and training conditions were far from ideal. Hopefully she comes stronger for the olympic season.
