Thought the same, but I might be biased here.Aljona says Z/K should have scored more than americans, and that they got lowballed!

Don't jinx the last group!I knew it! I knew the ladies drama will leak into the pairs bubble.![]()
????BTW.. this is your reminder not to google Matteo.
I would love to be able to hear Aljona’s commentary—I’m sure it would be such an interesting take on things!Aljona says Z/K should have scored more than americans, and that they got lowballed!
you've been warned..????
In this case the team kinda has itself to blame, though. Skating to something this horrid is just asking for trouble...Italy is having the second-worst day for a country, after France.

For some reason I feel like it's so much harder a lot of the time to be fully immersed in a pairs performance - I look at a lot of other pairs, even veterans and talented teams in final groups, and I just feel like they're skating first and emoting second. There's more hesitation, stiffening up/slowing down to prepare for elements, etc, that just take me out of the flow. (And before you say it's b/c of Chinese bias I don't get taken out of the immersion nearly as much in other disciplines - most elite singles and dance skaters for example don't have this problem for me, even those with less impressive SS.) One reason I find Sui/Han so good is because for me there's never a question that they're artists first. Even if they fall on all their elements they're committed to the performance and the emotions they want to convey (even if said emotions may not be every viewer's cup of tea).If I see judges giving the Russian higher pcs than Sui/Han I'm gonna **** them. They are the supremacy of pairs figure skating. They define quality.![]()
Covers should be banned. This cover is a nope for me.
