I still think they should have had the Russian cup at the end of march instead, to give breathing space to these juniors. 2 week between 2 major competition is really short amount of time. No time to rest a little and reflect and work on fixing the mistakes from junior nats.

it was more important having it at the same time as JWorlds
 
Honestly, if the imaginary "d*ck-measuring contest" of the Russian fed with the ISU is more important than the actual athletes affected... Honestly not a great look, and I'd feel really unappreciated as a skater. :scratch2:
But the point is to keep the usual schedule in case the ban is canceled in the near future. Juniors are probably even less used to competing at the end of March.
