2022-23 Russian Local Events – Discussion

Maryana did well, again landings needed some work but she did stay up!

I always forget how generous SPB scoring is even when compared to the scoring in the Russian cup and other local feds competitions and then get shocked by it during the SPB cup at the start of each season lol :laugh:
 
I remember Nastya Marasanova from last season she had a great season in local SPB comps either won or at least medalled most of her competition.

Less success in nation wide comps but still did good nevertheless , she did decently in younger age novice nats ending up in 6th at the elder category and the older age novice nats she finished in 11th. Im exited to see her compete in Russian cup stages, I feel like this season she will be like Nadezhda last season and break the Moscow dominance to get into the junior national team.

I dont remember her so I wasn't expecting that backloaded 3lz-3T combo! another girl that could do really well in Russian cup, I wonder who her coach is?

edit. Oh wow much lower than I expected she missed lots of level but considering she landed a difficult backloaded combo and the generous scoring in this comp I definitely taught they would boost her up. :shrug:

I love Karinas skating and she landed everything tho some of the landings were rough :cheer: :console:

I still think if she cleans up her jumps she would be a threat in national comps as well.

That dress is so pretty I love it :clap:
 
Arina did so well!

Juging is really mess in this comp more so than last seasons normally they are just overly generous with scores to everyone but today I feel like im watching 2 different judging panels working, 1 extremely generous and 1 extremely strict depending on the skater. :shrug: :palmf:
 
I remember Daria Osipova from last season I felt it was quite ridiculous she got a Russian cup spot when she finished 15th in SPB cup and its not like the 20-21 season had gone any better for her. It was clearly due to her being coached by Mishina in Mishins team.

Today wasn't any better she got her URs ignored while the couple skaters prior to her that landed everything including their 3lz-3t combos got hammered with them. Her PCS should not be that high either as she fell and botched 2 spins. She has a lot of nice qualities like her skating skills for example but her spins are definitely not one of them and jumps have not worked for her well in the past.

Sofia Pashto did so well! She is so adorable, she had a really good season last season. She is too young for Russian cup sadly, so we her main comps are going to come only later in the season.
 
seems like Agata Petrova has switched to team Mishin, she had a really good season last season so im looking forward to see how she does this season.
 
Ive missed Kutovoy a lot, his skating is as beautiful as always!:cheer:
Sadly jumps didn't work fully today but he did well nevertheless :console:
