2022-23 Russian Local Events – Discussion

what an adorable kid :ghug:

Shame about the combo and the loop :( on the bright side the loop and Lutz were huge, they would have gotten great Goe if he had landed it :console:

Vlad's spins are becoming better. I remember how bad they were.

3Lo was very nice. Tataurov previously mentioned that Vlad is working on 4Lo.

Why is he competing in juniors? He has 3Lo as the first jump, looks like a room for a quad. But at the same time it doesn't look like he'll compete in seniors this season.

Overall, one of his best skates of this program.

Oh Kirill my poor boy, everything was going so great until 1st spin that was difficult after that he seemed to deflate and then the combo mistake came :( :console:

Im so worried for him, im so scared for his free. He looks so sad too:ghug:

He'll be ok, it's already progress from last season.
The flappy thing on his shirt irritates me no end. His posture is so impeccable, but that kind of ruins it for me. Who came up with this gimmick?

I think they want him to have 1 very strong junior season to set him up well for a JGP, if Russians can return to international competitions next season. In Juniors he can medal if not win every competition in seniors not so much. Setting a reputation of being a solid top skater and constant medalist will help him in the future a lot.

Good question. But hey, let him use this non-international season to smooth out the edges and get him proper into the serious mix next year. He can achieve and work on things now with all the time in the world.

Junior girls turn! This time around the field for the junior girls or the women for that matter is not as strong as the junior boys and mens field that are like mini nationals with only handful of big names missing, But im exited regardless!
