Sorry, I forgot. I usually don't take much notice of what the girls are wearingChannel One had shown this dress, but Nastya wore another one at test skates. I liked the black one more. I rarely like white costumes because they don't look good on ice.

Gleb has a new gala!
Even though they had some mistakes today-I think they are one of the greatest pairs I've ever seen-much better than M/G. (The Elvis program seems very lightweight-just totally underwhelmed by them this year)K/K have tried 4S throw in harness. Yasmina also used to 4S in singles.

I just wish this was skated in a Junior GP event so the world can see how good she is. I just love her programs. Was this a Junior event or a senior event?
Also, thanks for sharing the video. She is my favourite Junior. Wishing her luck at the Russian Cup events. Her technical layout isn’t the most difficult. So, it will be difficult for her to compete against the ultra-c elements. She will have to rely on inconsistent rivals. I just hope she is as consistent as she was at this event, to put her in the best standing possible, within Russia.

To be honest, I don't think Nastya's skate was that rough in comparison to some of her skates in the middle of last season or even Lyuba's skate here.
However, there were some things that worried me (apart from the spin fall).
For one, I felt like she was less expressive/looking down onto the ice more here than during the past seasons, even during the step and choreographic sequences. I had noticed it a bit at Test skates, but Nastya has always had a tendency to look at the ice a lot, so it wasn't immediately a concern or anything. However, I found it very noticeable here. I hope that's just while she's still getting used to the programs and the jump layout or because it was less of a serious competition for her and not something that's going to continue, it would be a shame for her to not perform to her fullest abilities.
Additionally, I find it a bit concerning that it seems that they aren't trying to fix her rotation issues but to teach her how to land her underrotated jumps. Not only is it not ideal from a standpoint of injury prevention (it puts a lot of force onto the ankle, though nobody is ever safe from injuries), but it's also a sign of a chronic issue. Chronic rotation issues are problematic because they put skaters at the mercy of the technical panel. If the technical panel is well-meaning, they won't get rotation calls and receive high scores, but if the technical panel is strict (for whichever reason), rotation issues will be called and GOE will drop, causing scores to be significantly lower than for a skate of similar quality judged by a different, more generous technical panel. We can see that in the scores of (semi-) chronic "underrotators" like Haein Lee, Sofia Samodelkina or even Karen Chen, whose scores can differ by a huge amount from one competition to the next.
