2022-23 Russian Local Events – Discussion

well that was a really good skate from Kutovoy!
Im happy he left the 3A out for now, he wasn't really ready for it and a clean 2a is better than a 3A< or << fall in sp, also I think he is still injured so better not to stress that either.

Does anyone know what his injury is exactly?

I love my Elena Alexandrovna in the background. Seems she's here with Tema Ustinov in the next group.

Andrey Kotsin has improved a lot since last season! :cheer2:

His triples other than the 3A are so tiny tho, im worried what will happen if he has a sudden growth spurt so I hope they work on that

Oh no😭, after really good performance at the 1st stage and Panin memorial this is not the short Dimitriev wanted, hopefully he can bounce back in the free :( :console:

So, someone ask for Ice Age in this thread (if i am not mistaken). Here episode of it from 15.10.2022 (also on that channel are individual videos of participants). Videos are geoblocked for Russia, but other countries should work fine i think.

That's great, but I think Ice Age should have a separate thread - in case people want to discuss performances as the programme goes along. Feel free to set one up. You could put an initial link up in here, and of course in the Link Collection.

It's a competition for youngsters to celebrate 'Day of the Coach', which is actually nationwide celebrated on 30 October.
Awww, "Day of the Coach" that's cute!

Sounds a bit like Teachers Day, not that ever got my teachers anything.

Anyway it was an interesting watch. Those tiny youths are talented!

Good skate from Karina!

She should at least maintain her position if not rise. I wonder if a top 8 finish here would get her a cup stage spot:unsure:

As far as Tema Ustinov, my next Kolpak, is concerned, I feel somewhat sorry for him. I've been watching him for the past three years, but he doesn't seem to progress much. :( His SP was rather stationary... Fingers firmly crossed 🤞🤞🤞

At least Nirvana is promising!
