2022-23 Russian Local Events – Discussion

Not too bad by Vika and Roman, but it's also the Free that's been giving them trouble, and not the Short.

I'm not sure they're a great fit, he just doesn't quite seem to have the strength to make it look effortless. Vika is not the smallest partner, but she's still slim and it should not look so difficult and clunky as often as it does with these two.
 
Daria Andreeva reminds me of Karina Safina a bit, she's also quite slim with long lines. A big improvement for these two from their first competition together, nice to see.
 
I wish the camera would zoom in on the coaches :(
Glad to see Nina Mozer, she’s really there for B/P. Good to see her in good health (y)
 
Very nicely done by Anna and Maxim. :clap: This music is overdone in pairs (particularly in Russia), but it's a fun program. Seeing the pink costumes and Maxim's white-blonde hair, I'd love to see these to do a Barbie program eventually, maybe as an exhibition?

They'll have to move up to seniors next season, so good luck to them.❤️
 
Always unfortunate to be the only team with a fall, but it's very tight from 3rd to 6th, just over one and a half points separation, so the Free will be very interesting 😁

It's actually good they are moving up because their 3S is better than 2A. 😅

Wait. I just remembered that Moskaleva won't be senior-eligible for big competitions. But perhaps they will change the rules for couples?
 
shame about the 4s pop :console: Dimitriev overall has had a good break out season but it has also been a roller coaster season for him. Hopefully he has a strong free to finish off this season.
 
Kirill already competing in seniors🥲 they grow up so fast:ghug:

Other than that little stumble in the step sequence he really showed up today and bossed his sp.

That SPb event is a full house. The ladies entry list is vast. Looks like Talalaikina will be competing after a long time.
 
Ah not the short Maxim would have wanted but this is a new layout for him so its to be expected that he would struggle a bit at 1st.
Nice to see him attempting the 4T again and im really haooybto see how much his spins have improved during this season:clap:
