I am catching up on the senior men SPs before watching the LPs in about one hour..
Gabriel Blumenthal : had forgotten how much I like his skating... Too bad he popped the combo. Loved the song.
Brian Chiem : i love his classic lines and his smooth flow. Too bad he doesn't yet have a 3a (or didn't try one) and about the faceplant ... i also adore the costume
Matthew Newnam : he seems taller? Rach 2... oh oh... fought for every landing... not bad, perhaps a bit slow.
Liam Kapeikis (USA) ... zorroing it up. falls on the 4s, falls on the 3a... nails the lutz combo. he skates with flair, which is needed with this music.
Wesley Chiu kept his Starry night program... popped both first 2 quads.. good 3a seems unhappy in the KnC
Beres Clements omg.. he seems much taller no? Maybe it doesn't help that he doesn't have a costume Sigh.. "when I fall" "i was upside down" who picks these songs? and of course, he fell on the 3a
Conrad Orzel (my son
) 4t combo hangs on and manages a 2t... 4salchow tumbles and touches down with both hands. nice 3 a... Conrad started the Carmina Burana program with intensity but he will need to hold it longer... after 30 seconds, the music seem to overpower him... however we could see how fast he was compared to Beres who skated before him. I feel Conrad has improved on his skating skills and spins a lot in a short period of time with Ravi... however, he needs to manage a few more level 4 elements.. i think he had 0.
The West has good men ... especially when adding Keegan... I prefer Connaught men over Champs but of course Ice Palace is where Conrad is so I have to cheer for that club the most
