Neo Tran's yellow costume really does not say 'Bolero' to me. I was taught to play it with a thick 'purple' tone, not a thin 'yellow' one - so yellow just seems wrong for the piece.

Okay Neo, I'm not sure how you landed some of those jumps but they were mostly landed (2 falls.) 150.19 total score, TES went down about 4 points, so he must've gotten calls.

Or he could've gotten one and withdrew, I think he's likely to get one without having to compete here.

Much better than Next Gen for David Howes. Shame about the loop. I thought he had it, then he slipped off the edge on the very end of the way out.

Much better than NextGen, only one fall. I'm not sure if it'll be enough to get him a JGP spot though without a 3Lz+3T. David 172.22, that's better!

Where has Parker Heiderich sprung from? I don't think I've seen him before this competition. Really nice first half. Ran out of steam a bit in the second half, so needs to work on stamina. I am impressed with him.

Apart from the 3T and 3S, that was really good from Parker. I think he may have missed a combo or two? I only counted one combo in the playback. Total 174.08

He's a first year Junior, he came 4th at Novice Nationals and did well enough to make their top men's moments of the season along with making NextGen.

O David... Fell apart a bit after the popped loop. He did get it back on track again towards the end. I would have Parker in first overall if I was a judge...

Sadly, the Davids seem to be competing with each other to avoid JGP selection...

It is nice to see Novice Solo Dance being competed here (along with Skate Ontario.)

Chicago is a good choice for Sugino/Marr, and I can see it being a fun program by the time they get to Skate Canada Trophy.
