Big Kondratiuk fan here - I love his funky programs and style. Became a fan first time I saw him at Russian Nats last season. I like his coach as well. Sokolovskaia seems incredibly supportive of her skaters.

She does and they all have such a good sense of humor. Skating wise I'm not a huge fan of either Samarin or Mark (they have almost opposite strengths) but in terms of having a balanced view of life and skating they are all incredible! I loved her interview!

Great skate so far!

I was so anxious on several of Vladimir’s jumps. Props to him for landing them. He seemed to run out of energy during the latter part of the program In terms of the performance but he was still landing the jumps.

All the empty seats are giving me the sadz. I'm sure they'll begin to fill up later but COVID has taken such a toll in so many ways. And dangit, these guys have trained their whole lives training for these 4 minutes and they deserve a real audience.

They probably won't fill up more later. Only invited spectators and they are not allowed to cheer, just clap.

That's.... just the strangest musical edits for Joker. The costume doesn't really work with the theme, but I think he actually did well with Smile at the beginning before the program became weird. Anyway, okay 4T+3T to open, good 4T, 3A+2T, and 3Lo to follow. Hand-down on 3A and a very wide 3F (looks < to me). Very tired footwork but good 3F+1Lo+3S to end.
