2022 Olympics: Men's Free Skate

Now Boyang is a premier example of someone who did not start out as a natural performer, so it has been a real pleasure to watch him grown into one. But that's the Chinese way isn't it: start with the tech and the artistry develops over the course of each skater's career.

Nicely done, Mr Jin. Nicely done.

JIN Boyang (CHN)

Nice, MUCH better than he did in the team event! And on noticeably tired legs too! Strong 4Lz to start, then a 4T+2T and fine 3A+1Lo+3S. He kept it together to nail another 4T, 3Lz+2T, 3A, and 3F with a step-out. I think his costume is better than the Bolero music which makes his two-foot skating and weaker edgework more noticeable. I think he did the best he could with the choreography for how exhausted he must be. A really great performance in his home country!

How nice to hear bolero, it is very accorded with the triumphal return that has just happened a few minutes ago at the Ladies event...

OMG, I am so happy for Jin Boyang! I've felt so bad for him, seeing him go from a quad leader to having issues with having clean skates. I felt he'd be under so much pressure this entire quad because this Olympics is in China. It feels amazing to see him skate so well! :yahoo:
