Georgia doesn’t deserve to be 10 full points behind USA and Japan. They always screw over the small countries.
They were definitely underscored a bit, However, the Americans and Japanese were a lot cleaner and their elements were significantly better. Things like death spirals, lifts, and spins were of higher quality.
I am shook that this team competition is competitive. I thought I had a pretty good idea of what the placings would be. Even if it ends up there, this event is keeping the suspense up!
I always knew the pairs would be the most exciting. There are the top two teams and then so many teams with the quality to get good scores but some inconsistency. Pairs is always so fun!

I've just realised, how does the GOE work for SBS jumps? I know that if one partner doubles they only get the double, but how do they get the GOE? An average for both partners?
The GOE is based on the lesser element performed. And if one does a double and the other a triple, the GOE is generally negative regardless of how the element is landed as they did not do the same element (not skating as one).

They will. They're solid and it's their time. I hope MT/M can deliver here too and keep Canada's FS hopes alive!
The only time I wasn´t nervous for them was SP in Rostelecom Cup and Nastya Mishina did a big mistake in this program. So now I´m always nervous for them.

Well, I was wrong about Brandon/Alexa. They were brilliant. Wow! The USA couldn’t have done better and should be in the lead after today. I’m kind of glad as this will force RUS not to sub in Diana Davis in the dance event. I still like JPN the most, so far.

Ok. CAN. Don’t screw up. This is your chance. They should aim to score higher than Georgia. I don’t think they will top USA or JPN. But, that is what they need to move to 6th.

RUS vs CHN coming up! Go CHN

It's really interesting to see the change in pairs versus women. In the last Olympic cycle we had pretty high pairs tech content, but now S/H are the only ones going for something like a quad twist. But in the women it's the opposite: more ultra-c's now more than ever
ISU have lowered the points for quads in pairs. Mishina/Galliamov said, they would love to go for quads, but it´s not worth it right now.

Worries a bit.

Will S/H do both segments or do P/J get a look in for the FS?

I feel like P/J don't get any respect from their own Fed.
I love P/J even more than I love Sui/Han. But, Sui/Han are obviously the higher scoring.

Triple Twist Lift 2, Death Spiral 3, Spin also level 3
Caller is American Troy Goldstein
The American's technical score being higher was correct. Elements were cleaner. The Japanese won the PCS (as they should).
